YMCA Camp Cullen has served campers and families in the Houston area for 40 years and we are excited about what the future holds! An unfortunate fire in July 2010 destroyed the dining hall, which has allowed us to take a step back and assess the needs of Camp Cullen. After careful consideration, we have decided to completely redesign camp. We could not be more excited to once again offer a premiere camping experience to the greater Houston community!
In the first phase of construction, we will be making $12 million worth of improvements including a brand new dining hall close to the water’s edge, new cabins and additional improvements to camp grounds to ensure the safety and security of our most precious asset – our campers!
The design, engineering and fundraising plans are currently underway for this exciting project and an announcement of the planned construction schedule will be made later this year.
