Whether due to unemployment, poor health, financial hardship or special circumstance, people struggle to provide for their families. The YMCA of Greater Houston has been responding to the needs of individuals and families in the greater Houston community for more than 125 years. Through skills development, the support of a teacher or coach, or the socialization of a group of like-minded individuals, the Y fosters the care, nurturing and respect all people need and deserve.
We need your help to ensure that no one is denied a chance to participate because of an inability to pay. Only by working together can we give more kids the opportunity to grow strong in spirit, mind and body. Contributions received from the Partners Campaign fund the growing number of scholarships awarded to individuals and families in need of vital Y programs and services.
Camp Cullen Capital Campaign
YMCA Camp Cullen has served campers and families in the Houston area for more than 40 years and we are excited about what the future holds. An unfortunate fire destroyed the dining hall in July 2010 has allowed us to take a step back and assess the needs of Camp Cullen. After careful consideration, we have decided to completely redesign camp.
In the first phase of construction, we will be making $12 million worth of improvements including a brand new dining hall close to the water’s edge, new cabins and additional improvements to camp grounds to ensure the safety and security of our most precious asset – our campers!
