The Texas Medical Center YMCA staff and volunteers welcome you to our Family of early childhood providers. After visiting this site we hope that you will come in and take a tour of our facility

The YMCA Child Care Center, located in the Texas Medical Center, has been in operation since 1988. We understand the importance of providing quality child care while parents perform their professional obligations. Experienced employees are dedicated to meeting physical, emotional and intellectual needs of your child in a safe, nurturing and learning environment.

Our Center serves children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. The infant center is designed to meet your baby's individual needs. Our program recognizes the importance of the early stages of development with special emphasis on social, emotional and physical growth. In the Toddler/Pre School program, children embark on a voyage of learning. We utilize creative, research-based curriculums that include an appreciation for language and literature, listening, speaking, reading and writing by using a variety of strategies. Our Center offers transportation from nearby elementary schools for children ages 5-12 in partnership with the Houston Independent School District. During Holidays and Summer our facility offers care for children full time by including field trips, recreational swimming, arts and humanities, and character development.

At the Texas Medical Center YMCA, we strive to offer a firm foundation for your most precious gift, your child. Each child is an individual and is encouraged to progress at his or her own pace.
