Link Up Greater Houston is a conference for youth, planned by Houston’s youth. Each year, youth serving organizations come together to provide teens with an opportunity to grow through positive experiences while promoting positive attitudes and choices based on the 40 Developmental Assets identified by the Search Institute. This year’s Link Up conference is exclusively designed for middle school youth groups.*

*High School groups, please stay tuned for your conference happening January 18, 2020!

Our annual conference will feature inspirational speakers and have exciting performances. Students will engage in activities and interactive sessions that will help them:
Voice their concerns
Build positive relationships and communication skills
Learn about tools that will help them to meet their potential

They will also focus on leadership development, conflict resolution, goal setting and financial planning for college.

40 Developmental Assets

Based on the 40 Developmental Assets, Link Up Greater Houston works to empower youth to achieve their full potential. These are 40 positive experiences and qualities that everyone can use to improve the lives of youth. They also promote positive attitudes and choices to protect youth from risky behaviors that get in between them and their goals.
