ACTIVE OLDER ADULT FITNESS CLASSES
The Y has fitness classes specifically designed for older adults. They give participants an opportunity to stay physically active or in some cases, to overcome their fear of exercise and begin being physically active. Active Older Adults programs include water exercise, yoga and stretching classes and walking clubs. Many of our YMCAs also offer socialization opportunities like Bridge Club, monthly birthday celebrations, day trips and more!

SilverSneakers® is a comprehensive physical activity program that improves overall well-being, strength and social interaction while offering engaging variety for all levels and abilities.This program is provided to medicare eligibles through participating health plans. SilverSneakers® provides access to fitness equipment, specially designed exercise classes, social connections, online educational content and a sense of community. If eligible for SilverSneakers, members can participate in YMCA programs at no additional cost.
