Financial Assistance

Everyone should have the opportunity to be part of the Y, regardless of their ability to pay.

Ensuring Access for All

The YMCA of Greater Houston offers financial assistance so cost is never the reason someone can’t be part of the Y. Awards are based on household income and circumstances and are reviewed confidentially by Y staff.

  • Reduced rates for memberships and selected programs

  • Support for individuals, families, and newcomers

  • Awards reviewed with care and kept confidential

How Financial Assistance Works

Financial assistance adjusts your monthly membership or program rate to an amount that fits your budget. When you apply:

  • You complete an application and provide proof of income and household size.

  • Y staff review your information and determine a reduced rate.

  • If approved, your award is typically valid for 12 months, with the option to reapply.
