LEAGUES

SOCCER FOR KINDERGARTEN – 2ND GRADE

Our leagues for students in kindergarten through second grade continue to encourage participation, teamwork and sportsmanship. Led by YMCA volunteer coaches trained through a practice plan and coaches training offered in conjunction with the Houston Dynamo/Dash, your YMCA athlete will develop both their athletic skills and character.

This league includes a 60-minute practice each week and games on Saturdays. Registration includes a shirt and socks.  Parent participation is recommended.

TINY TOTS SOCCER (AGES 3 – 4)

YMCA Tiny Tots is designed to introduce kids to the game of soccer through fun games, interactive drills, and small sided game play. Children receive a shirt and socks with registration. Parent participation is required.

SOCCER LEAGUES OPEN TO KIDS IN GRADE 3 AND UP (Improved and Expanded Program!)

Looking for something more competitive for your child? Our improved soccer program remains focused on building character and incorporates friendly competition.

Each season includes full uniforms (shirt, shorts and socks), certified game officials, 90-minute practices and an end-of-season tournament to help you and your child sense their progress and make the most of the spring season.

Together We Can Do More:

We're seeking volunteers interested in coaching youth sports. Our coaches make YMCA youth sports possible, and create a lifelong impact on children by encouraging participation and emphasizing sportsmanship and strong character. When you become a volunteer, the Y will introduce you to coaching and provide resources specific to the sport you coach. For more information, contact your nearest Y by phone or stop by the Welcome Center.

About YMCA Youth Sports

YMCA Youth Sports programs promote healthy kids, families and communities by placing a priority on family involvement, healthy competition, the value of participation over winning and team building. Parents are encouraged to be more than mere spectators by contributing their time as volunteer coaches and team parents as well as being their kid’s number one fan.
